Permanent Makeup Allergy Test - Better safe than sorry...

Allergy Patch Test

Patch testing before a permanent makeup procedure is an easy way to determine if you may have an allergy or sensitivity to any of the products used including pigments, anesthetics, disinfecting agents, and after-care ointment. While this is not a foolproof guarantee that you won't develop a sensitivity over time, it can help indicate if you are prone to the long-term annoyance and discomfort associated with an adverse or allergic reaction.

How a patch test Is performed…

Using a small needle, the skin is pierced behind the ear and anesthetic and pigment in two separate locations to help determine if you have an adverse reaction to either.  It is common to wait 3 to 7 days after patch test before proceeding with Permanent Makeup service.

Evidence of an allergic reaction…

Adverse reactions include rash, heat, redness, significant swelling, irritation, soreness , lumps under the skin, cracking, oozing, bleeding, swelling or raised, puffy skin, bumps and blisters.

Long-term adverse reactions can develop over a period of months or years. Should you experience any of these symptoms for an extended time, without improvement, contact your dermatologist for treatment and advise your permanent makeup artist.

The cost of a patch test is $25, by appointment only and must be completed at least one week prior to procedure.  MAKE PATCH TEST APPOINTMENT NOW
